Welcome to the World, My Son

Welcome to the World, My Son
Today, my son was born—and in that moment, time did something impossible.
It raced forward, carrying him into my arms, and slowed to a hush where every second before his first cry felt endless.

The hospital room was quiet in a powerful way—filled with breath, hope, and a fear wrapped tightly around love. When they placed him on my chest, the world disappeared. It was just him. Just us.
A baby is born… and so is a mother. Along with a new fear, and a courage still learning its shape.

I know the world can be hard. But today, I choose to believe it can also be gentle.
If you’re reading this, thank you for welcoming him—your kindness matters more than you know.
