Honoring the Fallen: A Legacy of Sacrifice and Valor

The Suffolk County PBA joins a grieving nation in mourning the profound loss of Deputy Gabriel Ramirez and Deputy Michael Hislope.
These two heroes—both U.S. Army veterans—gave their lives in a harrowing line-of-duty tragedy.

Deputy Ramirez was taken while protecting his community during a traffic stop, and Deputy Hislope fell while courageously pursuing the suspect to prevent further harm.
They served their country abroad and their neighbors at home. Two lives dedicated to service; two families now shattered by a void that can never be filled. We stand in unwavering solidarity with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office.

To our fallen brothers: your watch has ended, but your courage will echo forever. We will never forget.
