In one of the strangest escape attempts ever, crime collided with pure absurdity on the streets of Kayseri, Turkey.

A masked suspect used a stolen forklift to smash into a jewellery shop at dawn, grabbing ~150g of gold jewellery (rings, necklaces, bracelets).
Then came the twist: instead of a fast car, he fled on a donkey, trotting through the streets as CCTV captured the bizarre getaway.

Police quickly tracked him via footage, arrested the 26-year-old the same day, and recovered the stolen gold for the owner.
