Hero in the Flames
He didn’t save a building that day — he saved a heartbeat on four shaky paws.

The house was collapsing. Command ordered: “Stay out. It’s coming down.”
But one firefighter heard the cry: “My dog is still inside!”
Against orders, he crossed the line, crawled through smoke & debris, and emerged cradling a trembling pup. The crowd cheered. The owner wept.
Next day? He was fired.

Yet he still says:
“I’d do it again.”
True courage has no protocol.
