It Was Thanksgiving… and He Had No One.
The hospital halls were unusually quiet.
No laughter. No visitors. Just the soft hum of machines.
In Room 302, an elderly man sat alone with a tray of tasteless hospital food.
No family. No calls. No one coming.

Nurse Ben didn’t go to the breakroom.
He warmed up his own leftovers… then walked into that room and sat cross-legged on the floor beside the bed.
