“Heading down into the Rabat catacombs. I’ll take a look and come back.”

Those were the final words 17-year-old Mike Mansholt, a German tourist, sent to his parents during a family trip to Malta in July 2016.
Days later, after a desperate search, his body was discovered near the base of the towering Dingli Cliffs, miles from where he was last seen. His bicycle remained at the cliff’s edge, while questions surrounded the scene and the events leading to his death.

Authorities ruled out foul play due to lack of evidence, yet the exact truth was never fully uncovered.
