Honoring NYPD Hero Vincent Danz: A True Legacy of Courage
Today, we remember Vincent G. Danz, a courageous hero who served with the New York Police Department’s Emergency Service Unit (ESU) in the Bronx. At 38, he was a devoted husband, father of three daughters, and a selfless officer who thrived in the most challenging and dangerous situations.

Vincent, known for his humility and dedication, was always ready to face danger, from subway rescues to rushing into the Twin Towers on 9/11 without hesitation. His brother described him as a “special breed”—brave, humble, and fiercely loyal to his team.
We honor Vincent’s life and legacy today, remembering his sacrifice and unwavering love for his family and fellow officers.
