A trained rescue swimmer, he plunged into chaos again and again — carrying children to safety, offering hope where fear once stood.
Today, he was awarded the Legion of Merit for extraordinary heroism.

Reunited with young Milly Cate — one of the girls he rescued — he reminded us all what true bravery looks like.
