The “Soft Bigotry” Trap: Breaking Free from the Narrative

The “Soft Bigotry” Trap: Breaking Free from the Narrative
Gavin Newsom’s recent “outreach” is a masterclass in how some politicians truly view the Black community. Standing before a Black audience, he tried to “connect” by laughing about low SAT scores and academic struggles. Think about that.

It’s the same old script: Lower the bar, pretend struggle is the only identity, and convince people they aren’t capable of succeeding without government “help.” They tell you that you aren’t smart enough to get an ID or thrive without permanent assistance—all while claiming they believe in you. It’s dependency disguised as compassion.
Meanwhile, the side telling you to build, compete, and rise on your own merit is labeled the “villain.”

As a former Democrat, I’m done with a party that sees potential as a problem and handouts as the only solution. It’s time to stop settling for a lowered bar and start demanding the respect of high expectations. The “plantation” of dependency is over.
