Haitian Mother, 22, Delivers Healthy Quadruplets After Surprise Labor
In Fond Parisien, Haiti, Dorisca Camicile, 22, planned a home birth for twins — but joyfully welcomed four babies instead! Three boys (Jack, Jacky, Jacob) and one girl (Jageline) arrived safely with urgent help from local clinicians and Midwives for Haiti

No ultrasound ever revealed the quadruplets, who shared one placenta but had separate sacs — a rare setup! After the first birth, the belly stayed large, surprising attendant Edlyne Lapaix.
All four were born alive; two needed extra care for breathing but are now progressing well. The biggest weighed ~4 lbs. Dorisca is breastfeeding + supplementing, easily tells them apart, and with her husband now parents to five children — they feel their family is complete.

“I was so happy! I ran around saying ‘Thanks to Midwives for Haiti!’” she shared.
Follow-up care continues as the miracles grow stronger.
