Ugandan Mother Makes History With Quadruplet Birth at Hoima Hospital
Hoima, Uganda — In a remarkable milestone, 27-year-old Christine Kemigisha from Kigaaga village delivered quadruplets — the first recorded at Hoima Regional Referral Hospital in its 88-year history!

Initially expecting twins (possibly triplets), she safely gave birth to one boy and three girls on January 28, 2024, at 40 weeks via normal delivery. The babies weighed 1.2 kg (boy), 1.5 kg, 2.0 kg, and 1.2 kg — all described as healthy and active.

Senior Nursing Officer Sr. Maria Goretti Bithire praised the smooth process and strong referral system. This joyful event highlights the dedication of the maternity team at Hoima Hospital!
Congratulations to Christine and her beautiful family!
