The Incredible Bike Chase That Saved a Life

The Incredible Bike Chase That Saved a Life
In July 2013, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, 5-year-old Jocelyn Rojas was abducted from her front yard.
A massive search began — hundreds of neighbors and police on foot — but time was running out.
Enter 15-year-old Temar Boggs and his friend Chris Garcia.

Instead of waiting, they grabbed their bicycles   and hit the streets to search smarter and faster.
After nearly an hour, they spotted the suspicious car matching the witness description.
No hesitation — they started chasing the vehicle on their bikes!
Weaving through side streets and narrow paths, they pursued for over 15 minutes, staying close enough to keep the driver in sight.
The kidnapper, realizing two determined teens were tailing him, finally pulled over.
He pushed little Jocelyn out of the car and sped away.
Temar immediately scooped her up in his arms
She looked up and said: “I just want to go back to my mom.”
The boys stayed with her, keeping her safe until police and family arrived.
Her grateful grandmother hugged Temar and called him “our hero.”

Overnight, Temar and Chris became national heroes — proof that real courage doesn’t need fancy gear.
Sometimes, all it takes is a bike, quick thinking, and the heart to do what’s right.
Heroes come in all ages and ride on two wheels.
